How Much Does Pressure Washing Cost in Milwaukee? 2026 Pricing Guide

Serving Ozaukee, Milwaukee, Washington, and Sheboygan Counties | Vista Pro Exterior Cleaning

This guide covers pressure washing costs for hard surfaces: concrete driveways, sidewalks, patios, brick pavers, natural stone, stamped concrete, decks, and fences. If you are looking for pricing on house washing or roof cleaning, those services use a different method called soft washing and are covered in their own guides:

For hard surface pressure washing, costs in the Milwaukee area typically range from $0.20 to $0.60 per square foot depending on the surface type, the volume of work, and whether the service is performed as a standalone job or combined with another service at the same property. For most homeowners, a driveway or patio cleaning runs between $200 and $600. Larger properties or more complex surfaces can run higher. Vista Pro has a minimum service charge of $349 for standalone pressure washing jobs.

This guide covers exactly how pressure washing is priced in Wisconsin, which surfaces cost more and why, and what to expect from a professional cleaning.

Pressure Washing Pricing by Surface Type

Standard Concrete: Driveways, Sidewalks, and Patios

Standard concrete is the most straightforward surface to pressure wash and falls at the lower end of the pricing range. Vista Pro uses a commercial surface cleaner on standard concrete, which is a spinning disc attachment that covers large areas quickly and produces an even, streak free result. This efficiency is part of why high volume concrete jobs come in at the lower end of the per-square-foot range.

  • Typical range: $0.20 to $0.40 per square foot for standard concrete
  • Minimum service charge: $349 for standalone jobs
  • Add-on pricing: $100 to $200 for a front walkway, stoop, or small patio when we are already at the property performing a house wash or roof cleaning

The add-on rate reflects the fact that the truck and crew are already on site, which eliminates the trip cost. If you are scheduling a house wash or roof cleaning, adding a driveway or patio at the same visit is almost always the most cost-effective way to get it done.

Brick Pavers

Brick pavers require more labor than standard concrete and are priced accordingly. The surface cleaner cannot be used on pavers the way it is on flat concrete, so the area needs to be cleaned by hand with a wand, which takes significantly more time per square foot.

An additional consideration with pavers is joint sand. When moss or organic growth is present between the joints, the cleaning process will blow out the joint sand that holds the pavers in place. This is unavoidable when cleaning heavily soiled paver surfaces. Vista Pro does not re-sand joints after cleaning. If your pavers have significant moss in the joints, plan for joint re-sanding as a separate step after the cleaning is complete. A paver or landscaping contractor handles this work.

  • Typical range: $0.35 to $0.60 per square foot for brick pavers
  • Joint re sanding is not included and should be arranged separately if needed. We always recommend using polymeric sand.

Natural Stone: Lannon, Bluestone, Limestone, Sandstone

Natural stone surfaces clean up exceptionally well with professional pressure washing, but they require more care than standard concrete. A surface cleaner is generally not used on natural stone. Instead, the area is cleaned with a wand at lower pressure to protect the surface and avoid damage to more porous or softer stone varieties. This takes more time per square foot and is reflected in the price.

  • Typical range: $0.40 to $0.60 per square foot for natural stone
  • Results are excellent: natural stone often looks dramatically better after cleaning than standard concrete because the color and texture of the stone are more visible once organic buildup is removed

Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is priced similarly to natural stone due to the additional care required. A surface cleaner is typically not used on stamped concrete. The textured surface and any existing sealer require lower pressure and more careful technique to avoid damaging the pattern or lifting the sealer.

One thing to be aware of: pressure washing can strip or dull an existing sealer on stamped concrete. If your stamped concrete has been sealed, cleaning may affect the finish. Re-sealing after cleaning is a separate service that Vista Pro does not perform. If preserving the sealer is a priority, discuss this before scheduling.

  • Typical range: $0.40 to $0.60 per square foot for stamped concrete
  • Re-sealing after cleaning is not included

Decks And Fences

Wood and composite decks and fences fall at the higher end of the pressure washing price range due to the care required with wood surfaces. Too much pressure on wood can raise the grain, splinter the surface, or drive water into the wood in ways that accelerate weathering. Vista Pro cleans wood surfaces at appropriate pressure for the material without stripping, sanding, or paint removal. The service is cleaning only.

  • Typical range: $0.40 to $0.60 per square foot depending on the size and condition of the surface
  • No stripping, paint removal, or sanding is included or performed
  • Staining or sealing after cleaning is a separate service Vista Pro does not perform

What Affects the Pressure Washing Cost In Milwaukee?

Volume

Volume is the biggest single driver of price per square foot. A large driveway or extensive patio area costs less per square foot than a small one because the setup time and equipment cost are spread across more surface. If you have multiple surfaces to clean, combining them in a single visit brings the per-square-foot cost down across all of them.

Standalone vs. Add-On Service

Whether pressure washing is the only service being performed at your property or is being added to a house wash or roof cleaning visit makes a meaningful difference in price. When Vista Pro is already on site, there is no separate trip cost, no additional equipment staging time, and the crew is already working efficiently. Small add-ons like a front walkway or stoop can often be completed in a few extra minutes and are priced to reflect that.

If you are planning a house wash or roof cleaning, this is the single best way to get concrete cleaning done at the lowest possible cost. Request all services together when getting your quote.

Surface Type and Complexity

As covered above, surfaces that require hand wanding instead of a surface cleaner take longer per square foot and cost more. Moss between paver joints, sensitive stone, and textured or sealed surfaces all add time and are priced accordingly.

Condition of the Surface

Heavily soiled surfaces with thick organic buildup, oil staining, or embedded debris take longer to clean than surfaces with routine dirt and weathering. While Vista Pro does not charge a separate cleaning surcharge, extremely neglected surfaces may require additional passes and are factored into the quote.

Why Concrete and Hard Surfaces Require High Pressure

Worker for Vista Pro pressure washing concrete with a surface cleaner.

Vista Pro uses soft washing for house siding and roof cleaning because high pressure damages those surfaces. Concrete, pavers, and stone are the opposite. These hard, dense surfaces require real pressure to clean effectively. Biological growth including algae, moss, and mildew embeds into the surface texture of concrete and stone, and low pressure rinsing does not remove it completely.

A commercial surface cleaner operates at high pressure but distributes that pressure evenly across the surface through a spinning bar with two nozzles enclosed in a shroud. This produces a consistent result without the streaking or tiger striping that a standard pressure washing wand can leave on flat concrete surfaces. For larger concrete areas, the surface cleaner is the right tool. For pavers, natural stone, and textured surfaces, hand wanding at adjusted pressure gives better control and a better result.

What Pressure Washing Does Not Include

A professional pressure washing service from Vista Pro is a cleaning service. It removes biological growth and organic material(algae, mold, mildew, dirt) from hard surfaces. The pressure washing cost does not include:

  • Joint re-sanding for pavers. If joint sand is displaced during cleaning, re-sanding is the homeowner’s responsibility and should be arranged with a paver or landscaping contractor. If attempting to diy, here is a great article on what to look for and avoid.
  • Re-sealing stamped concrete or pavers. Sealing after cleaning is a separate service Vista Pro does not perform.
  • Paint removal or stripping. Vista Pro does not perform paint removal, deck stripping, or chemical stripping of any kind.
  • Staining or finishing wood surfaces. Deck and fence cleaning is cleaning only. Staining, sealing, or finishing after cleaning is a separate service.
  • Oil and rust stain removal. Standard pressure washing improves the appearance of oil stains on concrete but does not fully remove embedded oil. Deep oil staining requires a degreaser treatment along with hot water, which is a separate service. If oil staining is a concern, mention it when requesting your quote. Rust stains are inorganic staining and is a completely different process than a general cleaning.

Combining Services: The Most Cost-Effective Approach

The most common and cost-effective way to schedule pressure washing at Vista Pro is to combine it with a house wash or roof cleaning. Here is how that works in practice:

A homeowner schedules a house wash. The crew arrives, completes the house washing, and before leaving adds the driveway and front walkway to the visit. The add-on cost for the concrete is $100 to $200 depending on the size of the area. The same job scheduled as a standalone visit on a separate day would start at the $349 minimum and take up a separate slot on the schedule.

If you have multiple surfaces you want cleaned, list all of them when you request your quote. The online quoting system will price them together, and you will see the combined cost before committing to anything.

Pressure Washing vs. Power Washing: Is There a Difference?

The terms pressure washing and power washing are used interchangeably by most homeowners, and for practical purposes they refer to the same service. The technical distinction is that power washing uses heated water while pressure washing uses cold water. For most residential concrete, driveway, and patio cleaning, cold water pressure washing is the standard and effective method. Hot water equipment is typically reserved for oil and grease removal on commercial surfaces. For residential hard surface cleaning, you will not notice a meaningful difference in results between the two.
